Smyths Toys Superstores have unveiled their much anticipated brand ad for 2017. Last year’s ‘If I Were A Toy’ campaign followed Oscar’s journey through the toy store and featured an array of toys we all know and love. This year, Smyths Toys Superstores have introduced the brand new character of Snot, a toy who begins as a factory line error but goes on to become this year’s most wanted toy.
The story follows the cute and curious Snot as he wanders through the streets looking for a place to call home. Though he encounters a series of misfortunate events on his travels, including being chased by a 50ft monster, Snot ends up saving the day and finds a home in the aisles of Smyths Toys Superstores. Check out the full 60” ad here at www.picksnot.com or watch this Saturday on the ad break of ITV X Factor at 8.15pm.
Sinead Byrne, Joint Head of Marketing at Smyths Toys, said of Snot; “We have fallen in love with this new character’s playfulness and sense of adventure, and we hope our little customers will love him too!”
Smyths Toys have brought Snot to life by creating a plush toy of Snot, as well as a book telling the tale of his adventure to the toy store. The retailer has confirmed that they will be donating all the profits from sales of Snot and his book in the UK to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity in the UK.
Tim Johnson, Chief Executive, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity said; “We’re delighted to have Smyths Toys support this Christmas time. All the money raised will help to support seriously ill children from across the UK who are being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital and their families.”
Martina Moran, Joint Head of Marketing at Smyths Toys added; “Great Ormond Street Hospital is an amazing place, and we hope that picking Snot in Smyths Toys shop this Christmas will make a difference to children at the hospital.”
Both Snot and his book are available from all Smyths Toys Superstores across the UK and Ireland, while stocks last, retailing at just £9.99. Give Snot a home to help make a difference—you can even stick him on your Christmas list! Snot available anywhere else.
